KS1 Class Teacher
Granby is a village school in the heart of the city, providing a varied teaching opportunity for the right candidate in a friendly, supportive and child-focused context. The children, staff and governors are looking to appoint an excellent KS1 class teacher to join our team from August 2026, on a full-time permanent basis. Whilst the vacancy is currently in KS1, teachers may also be asked to work in KS2.

With around 450 children on roll and a staff of over 80 people, we are a thriving school at the centre of our local community.
The successful candidate will:
1. Nurture and cherish the children, promoting their safety wellbeing and learning
2. Build positive relationships with children within a restorative framework
3. Be creative, enthusiastic and resourceful with a passion for teaching and learning
4. Have a strong commitment to inclusion with high expectations for all learners
5. Be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire children to learn
We can offer you:
6. A 'village school' feeling at the heart of a thriving local community
7. A diverse, inner-city school with 28% EAL and over 30 languages spoken
8. A friendly, supportive team of staff and governors
9. Parents who love the school and children who love learning
10. A commitment to your ongoing professional development
If you have the relevant skills, qualities and expertise, we would love to hear from you.
