About Our Client

Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a busy period and various ongoing projects, the accountancy team is looking for additional support.

Job Description

3. Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
4. Maintain and update payroll records, including salary adjustments, tax codes, and benefits deductions.
5. Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and provide clear explanations when necessary.
6. Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
7. Collaborate with the accounting and finance department to reconcile payroll data with financial records.
8. Prepare and submit necessary reports to HMRC and other relevant authorities.
9. Support audits by providing requested payroll documentation and explanations.
10. Continuously review payroll processes to identify and implement improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Administrator should have:

11. Proven experience in payroll administration.
12. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant UK regulations, including PAYE and pensions.
13. Attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
14. Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
15. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
16. Effective communication skills for liaising with employees and external stakeholders.
