At Kainos, we provide innovative products designed to help Workday customers reduce risk and maximize investment. As a Product Owner, you will shape our market‑leading Smart Test Product – a cloud‑based Test Automation platform that enables Workday customers to create and execute large volumes of test scripts using simple test data.
Responsibilities
* Understand customer needs, personas, and engagement drivers.
* Become an expert in the problems we solve and why they matter.
* Run structured workshops with customers and internal stakeholders.
* Define and build solutions to address customer needs.
* Define benefits and how to measure success.
* Know the competition and stay ahead of it.
* Launch products and features, organizing and enabling internal teams such as delivery, pre‑sales, and onboarding to maximize impact.
* Manage roadmap delivery and maintain the product backlog.
* Create actionable user stories for development teams.
* Prioritize the backlog to ensure goals are met.
* Identify and measure success criteria for each delivered feature.
* Define and communicate release acceptance criteria for each product feature, including MVP criteria.
* Measure, track, and improve non‑functional product aspects.
* Contribute to marketing campaigns and external positioning when needed.
* Support sales efforts with product demos and technical discussions as required.
Minimum (essential) Requirements
* 2–3 years’ experience as a Product Owner in a SaaS environment, managing backlog, working with development teams, and building product roadmaps.
* Demonstrable experience and capability to successfully carry out the key elements of the Product Owner role.
* Excellent communication skills, including persuasive and effective communication with strong negotiating ability.
* Enthusiasm for new technologies and innovation, with a proactive approach to driving product roadmap improvements.
* Strong attention to detail, interpreting information and challenging assumptions where necessary.
* Comfort and ability to engage with customers to understand requirements and support functional or technical product discussions.
* Relevant commercial experience and awareness to help set priorities of product investments and drive commercial success.
* Good understanding of technology, digital services, and industry trends.
* Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
* Flexibility to travel to customer and partner locations worldwide if required.
