Responsibilities
* Working under the guidance of senior engineers and project leads to support project delivery.
* Assisting with design development across all project phases: concept, schematic, and detailed design
* Producing schematic and detailed drawings using industry-standard software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Stardraw)
* Supporting the preparation of technical documents including bills of materials, system schematics, and installation manuals
* Assisting in creating technical content for bids and proposals, including feasibility assessments and cost estimates
* Helping to develop system specifications, architecture documentation and site reports
* Supporting the integration and programming of audio, lighting, and show control systems (training provided as needed)
* Participating in testing, commissioning, and post-installation support to ensure the project meets design intent and performance standards
* Collaborating closely with in-house design, engineering, and production teams, as well as external partners and clients
* Attending project meetings and contributing to technical discussions where appropriate
* Staying informed about emerging technologies and supporting R&D efforts on new solutions
* Travelling to project sites in the UK and potentially internationally (as required and supported)
You should have:
* Up to 2 years' experience in a relevant design or engineering role (e.g. AV, lighting, show control)
* A basic understanding of audio-visual systems, media networks, and IT infrastructure
* Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Stardraw
* Interest in and aptitude for technology and system design
* Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
* A team-first attitude and the ability to collaborate across disciplines
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
It would be great if you have:
* Exposure and passion for immersive or themed environments (e.g. museums, theme parks, live events)
* Familiarity with manufacturers such as Panasonic, Epson, Q-SYS, Pharos, or Pixera
* Awareness of video playback, projection, sound, lighting and control systems
* Understanding of networking technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or NFC
