Assistant Accountant- Belfast City Centre- Fixed Term Contract Reed Recruitment are working in partnership with one of Northern Irelands most prestigious institutions, based in the heart of Belfast City Centre. Our client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Assistant Accountant/ Accounting Technician to join their team on a full-time basis to cover a period of maternity. This role will be for a period of 6 months, is offering full time hours ( Monday- Friday 9am-5pm) and a very competitive salary dependent on experience. Main duties: Assisting with management accounts preparation Accruals and prepayments Weekly payroll processing for circa 120 employees Purchase and sales ledger invoice processing Supplier statement reconciliations Cash lodgements and reconciliations Petty cash management Essential Experience: IATI qualified or minimum part qualified accountant in a recognised accountancy body such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAI or ICAEW with at least two years' recent finance experience in a relevant finance A minimum of two years' recent management accounts experience including prepayments/ accruals and control account reconciliations A minimum of one year's recent experience of processing/overseeing purchase ledger and supplier payment runs A minimum of one year's recent work experience of processing/reviewing weekly payroll and a sound knowledge of payroll and pension legislation If you would like to be considered for this vacancy, please apply via the link provided.
