Development Test Technician (Fixed-Term initial 6 months)

As a member of our Development team, you'll play a key role in testing and building new and updated products according to the specifications and methods established by our development engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform component and device testing in line with the test specifications and methods defined by the development engineers.
* Provide detailed test reports to feedback to the Development team.
* Assist in the assembly, modification and re-work of prototype devices.
* Validate new test methods.
These tasks are not intended as an exhaustive list of the post holder's duties. The post holder is expected to carry out any reasonable request as deemed appropriate by their Line Manager to support business needs. Specific responsibilities and authorities are defined in procedures relevant to the role.

List All Required Experience/ Skills:
Required
* We welcome applications from recent graduates with a relevant engineering qualification who are eager to start their careers in product development and testing
* Minimum of 2 years' industrial experience in an engineering company (or University/ HE).
* Experience in technical report writing.
* Excellent IT skills.
* A practical 'hands-on' attitude and willingness to learn.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Good organisation and time management skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team to organise own workload and manage others to deliver projects.
* Ability to work within a high growth, often pressurised environment and meet strict deadlines.
Desirable:
* Experience within an engineering test department.
* Experience of testing electronic or medical products.
* Experience working within a quality-controlled development system e.g. ISO9001.
* Ability to solder.
List All Required Education/ Qualifications/ Training:
* Qualification in an engineering discipline.
* HNC or higher in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
