Main Activities & Responsibilities
Providing administrative and organisational support to the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). Supporting Group Leaders and their teams, with a focus on the Food, Microbiome and Health Programme. Assisting the Head of Admin Support/Executive Assistant to the CEO. Arranging extensive travel and conference attendance in the UK and overseas. Organising itineraries for external visitors, and assisting with seminars, workshops, and events. Organising and coordinating committee meetings (internal and external), including preparing reports, compiling agendas, distributing papers, taking minutes, and following up on actions. Updating internal documentation, databases, and policies. Assisting other members of the Directorate Admin Support Team, including providing cover during absences. Performing any other duties as agreed with the line manager, relevant to the role.

Supporting the CSO, Group Leaders, and teams, especially on the Food, Microbiome and Health Programme. Arranging travel, organising events, and supporting meetings, including preparing reports, agendas, minutes, and follow-ups. Maintaining documentation and supporting the Directorate team as needed.
Person Profile
Education & Qualifications
* 4 GCSEs A*-C / 4-9 including English and Maths
* Administrative qualification such as NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Specialist Knowledge & Skills
* Competent minute taker
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
Relevant Experience
* Organising corporate travel
* Experience in administrative support roles
* Diary management
* Meeting and event organisation
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
* Organised, proactive, and able to multitask
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Team player with good interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure and independently
