Overview
Our department is seeking a well‑motivated resident doctor to gain both clinical and surgical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within a teaching hospital setting. The post supports the candidate to gain experience in the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology core curriculum and provides an education supervisor to facilitate training via the e‑portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day clinical duties across the department, including antenatal clinic, gynaecology clinic, maternity triage, maternity day assessment unit, and theatre sessions.
* Participation in on‑call rota covering both Obstetrics and Gynaecology in a three‑tier system.
* Engagement in audit work and contribution to the weekly departmental academic teaching programme.
* Attend essential training sessions such as PROMPT, CTG study day, and MED2.
Qualifications
* Completed MRCOG Part 3 and registered with the GMC.
* Experience or training in core Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice.
Working Environment
* Work under direct and indirect supervision of consultants.
* Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, requiring strong communication, time‑management, and organisational skills.
