Senior Support Worker Care and Support - Vane Hill Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £13.60 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 46 Vane Hill Care Home is a specialist service in Torquay, set across two Victorian houses overlooking Torbay. The home provides structured, enablement focused support for adults living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, promoting independence, stability and wellbeing. Senior Support Worker Contract £13.60 per hour Contracted to 46 hours per week, worked over 4 days Day shift Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As a Senior Support Worker, you will take a lead role in delivering high quality, person centred care within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, providing clear direction and support to the team to ensure care is delivered safely, consistently and to a high standard. Alongside providing hands on support, you will respond to changing needs, incidents or concerns, maintaining a calm and well managed environment at all times. You will oversee medication administration, ensure care plans are followed correctly and maintain accurate and up to date records. Working closely with the wider team, you will support effective communication and contribute to a structured, professional and consistent approach to care. This role requires a confident, organised and resilient individual who can support both residents and staff within a complex care environment.
