Part Time Finance Manager
£23 per hour
Witham, Essex
2-3 days per week including a Friday
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Finance Manager to join a thriving manufacturing business in Witham. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's financial operations, providing strategic insight, and driving continuous improvement across accounting practices.

Duties:
1. Manage internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems.
2. Manage budgets and prepare forecasting reports.
3. Analyse financial reports and present findings to the board.
4. Supervise financial reporting and budgets
5. Review company financial reports and seek ways to reduce costs.
6. Analyse market trends to maximise profits and find expansion opportunities.
7. Identify risks, propose solutions and manage stakeholder expectations.
8. Research and report on business performance influences.
9. Prepare and present statutory accounts to trial balance level
10. Prepare all payroll, VAT and HMRC returns & Weekly Cashflow Forecasts
11. Manage the purchase and sales ledger
12. Responsibility for accounts receivable and payable ledgers.
13. Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and accounting entries.
14. Manage audit processes of current systems in preparation to sending to Accountants
15. Monitor financial details to ensure legal requirements are met.
16. Develop external relationships with Auditors, Solicitors, Bankers and Statutory Organisations.
17. Drive continuous improvement of accounting practices.

18. Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage teams effectively
19. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex financial information to financial experts and other interested parties
20. Good problem-solving skills to identify potential financial issues and develop effective solutions to address them
21. Attention to detail to ensure financial reports and data are accurate and complete
22. The ability to work collaboratively with other departments and interested parties to achieve common goals
23. Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
24. Strong ethics and integrity to maintain high standards of financial responsibility and accountability
25. Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
26. Creativity and innovation to develop new financial strategies and solutions that drive business growth
27. Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making to identify opportunities for improvement and make informed financial decisions
28. The ability to use main accounting and office software packages competently, such as- Sage, Paperless, Microsoft Excel, Access and Word
29. AAT Level 4
30. Previous experience in a similar role
