About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Storeperson & Shipping Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced environment. This role is primarily focused on goods receiving, stock control, order picking, packing, and coordinating shipments to customers both domestically and internationally.
You will play a key role in ensuring inventory accuracy, supporting production, and maintaining efficient shipping operations. Working as part of a small, skilled team, you'll contribute to continuous improvement and high standards across the stores function.
Key Responsibilities
1. Receive incoming goods, materials, and customer returns, ensuring accuracy against orders
2. Process stock transactions within the ERP system in a timely manner
3. Store and organise materials correctly, both physically and within the system
4. Pick, prepare, and issue production kits accurately
5. Pack products, instruments, and spare parts securely for shipment
6. Arrange courier collections using third-party systems (e.g. DHL, UPS, FedEx)
7. Ensure all shipping documentation and labels are correct and complete
8. Maintain accurate stock levels through regular checks and cycle counts
9. Manage non-conforming or damaged goods and coordinate returns
10. Replenish stock and support Kanban processes
11. Operate a counterbalance forklift for goods in/out activities
12. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised stores environment
13. Support continuous improvement initiatives and reduce inefficiencies
14. Assist with general stores and logistics tasks as required
Requirements
Essential
15. Good general education (including GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent)
16. Valid counterbalance forklift licence
17. Full, clean UK driving licence
18. At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing stores or warehouse environment
19. Experience using MRP/ERP systems for stock control
20. Strong understanding of stock handling, rotation, and inventory processes
21. Good communication skills and attention to detail
22. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
23. Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g. 5S, Kanban, Kaizen)
24. Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
25. Experience using courier booking systems

27. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
28. Comfortable working as part of a small, team-oriented environment
29. Ability to read and interpret technical or engineering drawings
