The Role
As Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll play a key role in project delivery and civil design. You’ll lead technically, support project teams, and have autonomy over your own workstreams. Your input will shape project outcomes and support high-quality delivery.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Undertaking technical and feasibility studies for civil engineering projects
Producing civil designs with a strong emphasis on drainage and highways
Preparing and managing adoption agreements including Section 38, 104, 106 and 278
Preparing and managing fee proposals
Leading and managing project teams — including time forecasting and workload planning
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to ensure coordinated delivery This role offers a real mix of technical challenge and client engagement.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and capable Senior Civil Engineer who brings:
A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
Proven experience as a project team leader in a consultancy or similar environment
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
Solid experience in drainage design and highways
Experience managing projects from inception to completion, delivering to time and budget
Familiarity with adoption procedures and the associated legal agreements
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills You’ll be someone who thinks critically, communicates clearly and takes pride in delivering quality engineering.
