FTC/Secondment: 07/11/2025 – 21/09/2026 – full time vacancy.
An exciting opportunity to support some of the most demanding, complex and challenging investigations dealt with by Thames Valley Police. You will manage all items of evidential material, exhibits and property seized (or that otherwise comes into Police possession) in the course of a Major Crime investigation, ensuring their integrity, secure storage and considering the evidential value and investigative opportunities of each item throughout the life of the investigation and Criminal Justice procedures.
Responsibilities
* Manage evidential material, exhibits and property seized (or that comes into Police possession) in Major Crime investigations, ensuring their integrity, secure storage and considering evidential value and investigative opportunities throughout the life of the case and CJ procedures.
* Respond to CPS requests for access by defence experts in relation to the examination of exhibits; ensure prosecution forensic experts are kept informed and engaged; make the necessary arrangements to transport required exhibits while maintaining security and integrity.
* Prepare for and attend trials, ensuring the safe delivery and secure storage of exhibits; liaise with prosecution counsel to ensure exhibits are available as required.
Requirements
* Capability to travel across the Force and work flexibly; due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working, public transport may not be suitable. A full driving licence is considered essential for this role.
* This is an onsite role.
