Service Assistant - Petworth Summary We’re looking for a Service Assistant to join us at Petworth to support the operations of our Turner's Vision at Petworth Exhibition as an Exhibition Host. Salary : 12.25 per hour Contract/duration: Fixed Term Contract until 16th November 2025 Hours/working pattern/hours : This role is an hourly paid, fixed term position. Wherever possible, we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible. The role will include weekends and Bank Holidays, however, there are no evenings or split shifts. Potential start date: ASAP For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Welcome Manager, Johnathon Caplin, you’ll be part of a team of 15 staff and 60 Colunteers working at Petworth property. What you'll be doing The core part of your job is to manage our Exhibition Reception, with a focus on greeting and admitting visitors to the Turner's Vision at Petworth Exhibition. No two days will be the same and you will be working alongside an exhibition volunteer. You can expect to meet many different people, answering their questions, management of possible queues, taking payments and promoting Petworth's own collection of Art as well as the wider charity. Also, importantly managing the security of the room and being a fire marshal.
