The Team
The Health & Safety team sits within the Governance & Compliance directorate, and are responsible for creating a health and safety culture and ethos across the University. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting risk assessments, investigating accidents, carrying out audits and checks, developing policies and codes of practice, advising on best practice and compliance, and delivering training.
The Role
This is a part time opportunity offering 22.2 hours per week. It is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
This is an exciting new role that will support the Health & Safety Adviser and Deputy Health & Safety Adviser in organising, monitoring and recording health and safety compliance across York St John University. The post holder will play a key role in maintaining records, facilitating meetings, arranging externally-led training courses and administrating the e-learning training portal, updating the University's health and safety website and intranet pages, and carrying out low-level health and safety checks.
Required Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have administration experience, including arranging and supporting meetings, recording data, and communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
