Ready to Build Software That Shapes the Future?
Do you enjoy turning complex ideas into elegant code?
Do you get a kick out of seeing your work power real-world machines and cutting-edge technology?
We're partnering with a science-led technology company that's breaking boundaries in materials engineering. They're designing and building systems that don't exist anywhere else, and they need curious, driven developers to help make it happen.
Why You'll Want to Be Here
This isn't just another coding role. You'll be working alongside engineers, scientists, and hardware specialists to build software that connects advanced machinery with intuitive user interfaces. Your code will play a direct part in groundbreaking projects that span multiple high-tech industries. Every day brings a new challenge, a new skill to learn, and the chance to see your work make a real difference.
What You'll Be Doing
* Developing solutions in C# (and occasionally Dart and other languages)
* Designing user-friendly interfaces for technical operators and engineers
* Creating tools for real-time monitoring, control, and experimentation
* Collaborating closely with experts in hardware, optics, and electronics
* Helping shape the overall system architecture and technical direction
* Writing clean, reliable code and documentation to support growth
About You
We're looking for someone who's excited by the crossover of software and hardware, and who thrives in a collaborative environment.
You'll fit well if you bring:
* 2+ years of professional development experience
* Strong C# skills (extra kudos if you've touched other languages)
* Experience working with Git or similar tools
* A problem-solving mindset and a methodical approach to debugging
* Good communication and a detail-focused way of working
* A relevant degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or similar)
Great-to-Have (but not essential)
* Experience with industrial machinery or embedded systems
* Designing interfaces for technical users
* Knowledge of machine vision or image automation
* Awareness of cybersecurity and secure coding practices
* Some DevOps, CI/CD, or cloud experience
* Previous time in a startup, scale-up, or R&D-driven business
Why Apply?
Even if you don't meet every single requirement, what matters most is your curiosity, initiative, and passion for building. If you want to grow your skills in a place where ideas are valued and your work has real-world impact, this is a brilliant opportunity.
Inclusion Matters
We and our client believe diverse teams make better ideas happen. Applications are encouraged from people of all backgrounds, and adjustments can be made to support neurodiverse candidates, those with disabilities, or anyone who needs flexibility.
