Our client, a Supply Chain Logistics company, is currently seeking an Ocean Import Customer Services Coordinator to join their team in Rainham.
You will have the opportunity to work remotely up to 3 days per week.
As the Import Customer Services Coordinator, your responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service to the company's import clients, acting as the primary contact for clients, and offering ad-hoc freight quotations, with opportunities to upsell the company's services.
Daily tasks involve managing container movements for imported goods, ensuring timely consignments, and maintaining accurate data on the systems.
Key duties include:
* Managing import container movements for clients
* Collaborating with origin offices to ensure correct and timely movement of consignments
* Providing transactional support such as Customs clearance and haulage
* Communicating and escalating issues to team members and management as needed
* Maintaining accuracy of all information and high operational standards
* Adhering to deadlines and SOPs
* Creating and updating control sheets to track and audit consignments
* Monitoring and controlling costs and revenue at the job-file level
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding, strong customer service skills, and good administrative abilities.
We are interested in candidates with excellent stakeholder management, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and basic IT skills (e.g., MS Office).
