Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a role where your expertise is actually valued?
This warm, well-structured primary school in Hillingdon is looking for a skilled SEND TA to support a child with Autism, communication needs and sensory regulation in EYFS/KS1.
This isn’t an entry-level role — the school specifically wants someone who already has SEND experience and understands the complexities of autism.
⭐️ You MUST have:
1. Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND (Autism/ADHD/Speech & Language/SEMH)
2. Confidence using visual supports, routines and sensory strategies
3. A calm, consistent and patient approach
4. The ability to work closely with the SENCo and class teacher
Desirable (but not essential):
5. Autism Awareness training or qualification
6. Team Teach/MAPA
7. Speech & Language or behaviour support experience

8. 1:1 support for a child with ASD
9. Helping with communication, emotional regulation & sensory processing
10. Supporting small SEND groups when needed
11. Using visual timetables, task boards, social stories and sensory breaks
12. Building a safe, trusting relationship with the child
13. Working in a genuinely supportive EYFS/KS1 team
