Role Overview
A global commodity trading company is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join its corporate Treasury team. This position is centred on managing foreign exchange and interest rate risk, while also supporting wider Treasury activities and reporting. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Treasury colleagues and operational teams in a cooperative, solutions-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage FX and interest rate exposures, ensuring appropriate hedging strategies and controls are in place.
* Support trading teams by providing guidance on FX hedging strategies.
* Ensure internal risk and trading systems effectively capture and manage FX exposures.
* Build and improve analytical and reporting tools using platforms such as Power BI and market data systems.
* Maintain knowledge of collateral arrangements and margining requirements.
* Assist with periodic credit reviews involving external counterparties and banking partners.
* Contribute to Treasury reporting and communication across the organisation.
* Carry out ad hoc financial and risk analysis as needed.
Key Requirements
* Commodity market experience is essential.
* Experience managing FX and interest rate risk.
* Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, along with familiarity with market data platforms; programming experience (e.g. Python) is a plus.
