Job Role: Support Worker
The Support Worker will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.
The Support Worker must have at least 6 months of experience in care and possess a compassionate attitude.
Support Workers assist with the daily care of patients in various settings such as homes, hospitals, or patients' own residences.
They are vital members of teams in hospitals, homes, and clinics.

As a Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Support Workers.
Your duties may include:
1. Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
2. Assisting with feeding
3. Making and changing beds
4. Turning patients who are confined to bed to prevent pressure sores
5. Talking to patients to help reduce anxiety
6. Assisting patients with mobility difficulties
7. Managing bedpans and helping patients with toileting
8. Maintaining cleanliness in wards or patients' homes
9. Keeping supplies and equipment organized
Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and equipment to lift and move patients. In hospitals, you may escort patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
