£40,033 to £43,274 per annum (inclusive of £2,742 Distant Islands Allowance per annum)
A Software Analyst is sought to design, develop, test, document, implement and maintain computer software applications which meet the business requirements of the users and comply with the standards of the IT Unit. You will use software tools for the development of new applications and to implement procedures for their continued maintenance and interaction with other corporate systems and to assist with the continuing development of the website.
It is essential that you have knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and associated methodologies, business systems analysis, web development and design. You will have the ability to develop applications using a range of development tools.
You will have appropriate IT qualifications and/or experience and will have proven practical experience of software development in a commercial or public sector environment.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
