Volunteer Secretary Trustee to join Committee of a not-for-profit Community Transport Organisation | Nailsea & District Community Transport Limited
We are looking to appoint a Charity Secretary as a key role in the strategy of the organisation and to support the Trustee Board.

The role of Secretary is central to keeping us on track with duties and viability, and to helping formulate our vision for the future. The Secretary supports and shapes the work and strategic direction of the organisation and helps us achieve our objectives. This is a vital role in continuing to provide and extend our services to beneficiaries, with a focus on supporting the elderly, disabled, and vulnerable in our community. As a Trustee, you will contribute your skills to the strategic progression of the organisation.
What are we looking for?
We value trustees from varied professional backgrounds who can contribute to the Committee. Experience in secretarial duties is particularly welcome and valued.
What will you be doing?
* Help with the organisation and smooth management of the Trustee Board, ensuring decisions and actions are accurately recorded and implemented.
* Ensure Trustees comply with all legal and regulatory obligations and internal policies.
* Write agendas and minutes for the board and provide advisory support to the charity.
* Assist the Chair with secretarial duties.
* Attend Trustee Board meetings in person as required.
* Support long-term funding strategies and governance to sustain the organisation’s mission.

We are a not-for-profit organisation supported by volunteers and have been operating for 27 years. The role involves working with a committed Trustee Board to guide the organisation’s future direction.
