Strategic Contracts Manager | 8084 | Permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £55,147 to £60,676 per annum (Grade M) | County Hall, Norwich

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and passionate Contracts Manager to oversee the County Council’s Strategic Highways Contracts and monitor their performance.
Upon appointment, you will support a senior team in managing resources for the £500m+ Highways Re-procurement project, which involves the Term Maintenance Contractor, Professional Services Supplier, and Traffic Signals Contractor, all expiring on 31 March 2026. This includes assisting with resource management and contract mobilisation.
You will also assist with managing Strategic Contracts, providing advice, guidance, and support to the Assistant Director Highway Services and the wider highways teams in their interactions with consultants and contractors.
Candidate Requirements
* Excellent knowledge of NEC (New Engineering Contract) Engineering and Construction Contracts
* Proven financial management experience
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for complex contractual matters
* HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical subject, or relevant experience
