Actual Salary from: £23,940 - £25,120 (Point 9-12)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for our school to recruit an enthusiastic and committed full-time Pastoral Support Officer as soon as possible.

The key responsibilities include administrative support for students on off-site directions, pastoral support plans, and referrals, along with day-to-day student support and building strong relationships with other schools.

The position suits experienced pastoral workers, those with administrative experience related to students, or individuals with transferable skills interested in working in schools.

* This post is 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil days and 1 week during school closure).
* The working hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am – 3:30pm Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid break.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing care, guidance, and support to students as appropriate.
* Preparing paperwork and supporting meetings/actions for Off Site Directions, Requests for Support, and Pastoral Support Plans.
* Supporting students on Off Site Directions and Pastoral Support Plans.
* Assisting with the mid-year admissions process.
* Supervising students in the Internal Exclusion Room as required.
* Informing colleagues about social or behavioral issues affecting students.
* Providing administrative support and covering for colleagues as needed.
* Supporting students with anxiety managing their return to full-time education, including supervision.
