Responsibilities. Preparing statutory and management accounts for clients Assisting with business development activities to attract new clients Liaising with other colleagues to ensure all client work is completed accurately, within budget and on time Work closely with clients to continuously develop their internal systems Ability to analytically review and analyse KPIs Training clients in use of their accounting systems whilst implementing best practice bookkeeping systems Carry out bespoke system projects agreed with the client Preparation of VAT returns Preparing information for client board meetings as well as some ad hoc projects A very strong emphasis is put on the advisory side of accountancy and you will be expected to provide value added advice to your clients on a regular basis Required skills. Qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, FCA with practice experience working for a small to medium size UK based practice firm Must have good time management, organisational skills, interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients therefore needing a client focused attitude Ability to work to tight deadlines and flexible in approach Experience in a range of software packages, in particular cloud accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage 50 Maintain high professional standards of conduct and practice Understand need for continuous learning and development
