Role Summary

1. To provide an efficient and effective service as part of the Endoscopy Waiting List Team. This will include scheduling patients for procedures, liaising with the senior clinical and management teams to resolve any queries, and highlighting any issues where appropriate.
2. To update the pathway validation and work with the Pathway Validation Coordinator to sort queries.
3. To present a positive impression of the team and the service.
4. To provide administrative support to the other members of the Endoscopy Team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 x part time an 1 x full time Waiting List Coordinator in the Endoscopy Team based in the Endoscopy Unit in the Royal Devon University Hospital. We are looking for an individual to work as part of an established team providing an efficient service to the clinical Endoscopy team and the general public.

Key aspects of the role include:

5. Providing excellent customer care. Hospital visits can be stressful and daunting, so you will be a great communicator with strong customer service skills to put our patients at ease, treating them with tact and empathy.
6. Ensuring all booking processes and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner. Typical tasks that you will complete are:
7. Booking endoscopy procedures
8. Monitoring waiting lists
9. Updating patient pathways following the Referral To Treatment guidelines
10. Liaising with the pre-assessment team, Nursing team, Clinicians and other admin teams
11. Assisting and supporting other members of the administrative team across the department or division, including dealing with telephone calls and resolving enquiries for patients, their carers and visitors.

Working Pattern: 1 x Full Time - Mon-Fri and 1 x Part Time- Can be flexible on days (On application please specify if you are looking for full time or part time hours)

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 6-7 rates, inclusive of a pay award implemented from April 6. If you join before this date,, remuneration will be based on the 5-6 pay bandings (Pay scales for 5/ | NHS Employers)
