Responsibilities – Fire Alarm Service Engineer
As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, your role will include:
* Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of fire detection systems
* Work with emergency lighting systems and fire alarm technologies across diverse sites
* Install and commission fire alarm systems, focusing on Advanced and Kentec panels
* Plan and complete scheduled maintenance and responsive service visits
* Diagnose faults using systematic fault-finding techniques
* Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately
* Lead small-to-medium installation projects when required
* Ensure compliance with BS7671:2018, BS5839-1:2017, and BS5839-6:2019
* Deliver professional customer service at all times
Requirements – Fire Alarm Service Engineer
* Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer or similar technical role
* FIA Units 1–5 (or equivalent qualifications)
* 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
* Strong technical knowledge of fire detection systems
* Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* A professional and customer-focused approach
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
* Full UK driving licence
* Electrical background essential
* Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces
