Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Derbyshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN / SEND, including SEMH and other needs such as MLD and SLD. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who want to work 1:1 with children and young people in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.
At Targeted Provision our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists, with a focus on keeping the team around the child.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, or other needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support learners referred by local authorities and schools, assisting their educational and social-emotional journey
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions aligned to individual needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK (remote roles included)

SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* Engage with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service and paid via PAYE
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
