Job Title: Practice Educator for Cancer Nursing – Focus on Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT)
Role Overview: Support the education, learning and development of cancer services and SACT clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and promote clinical skills development and knowledge within the Non‑Surgical Cancer Services team with a specific focus on SACT.
* Develop and create a shared integrated learning experience for patients and staff.
* Lead the design and delivery of specified education and training programmes, including implementation of transformational simulation, digital, QI and training programmes for the clinical workforce.
* Work with service leads to provide SACT education and practice to support training programmes and develop specific educational strategies.
* Support continuing professional development through delivery of relevant programmes across the NSCS SACT department.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of education, training and development across key areas of practice and SACT delivery.
* Work clinically alongside registered and non‑registered staff to promote and deliver education practice and implement policies ensuring a fit‑for‑purpose workforce for patients receiving SACT.
* Collaborate with Peninsula Cancer Alliance and SACT training providers to support education, training and development of new‑to‑SACT post‑registration programmes, enhancing recruitment and retention.
* Contribute to a dynamic, patient‑centred environment across various oncology settings.
