Technical Service Manager required for an independent leader in the service and repair of commercial catering equipment. The Technical Service Manager role would suit an experienced engineer with strong electrical knowledge. Candidates from any field service background are encouraged to apply. Experience in a managerial role is desirable however this role would also suit an experienced engineer looking for more of an office-based role.
Based from the company’s office in Northampton, the Technical Service Manager will lead an engineering team of approximately 45 engineers and 6-7 area managers. You will play a critical role in establishing and developing standards and processes and will be a key point of contact for engineers when escalating issues.
The Technical Service Manager Role:
· Office based with some working from home and travel 2-3 times a month
· Provide leadership to engineering team and act as the central communication link between the team
· Improve engineering and operational standards
· Point of contact for escalation of more complex service and repair issues
· Root cause analysis on repeat faults, complaints etc.
The Technical Service Manager Candidate:
· Experience in a service / repair role
· Any field service background – catering, white goods, coffee machines or similar
· Knowledge of H&S
· Leadership experience or an engineer looking to step into an office-based role
