The role
At Southern Housing, we have an exciting opportunity for a Regeneration Manager to join our Regeneration & Strategic Projects team.
We’re looking for someone with development project management experience who’s ready to grow their career in regeneration. You’ll support the delivery of complex residential‑led, mixed‑use schemes and eventually lead your own projects within our regeneration programme.
Reporting to the Director of Regeneration & Strategic Projects, you’ll work across all stages of development - from inception and design through planning, viability, governance and tender. You’ll also play a key role in community engagement and stakeholder relationships, ensuring our projects deliver real social impact.
Key responsibilities
1. Support and deliver mixed‑use regeneration, new build and acquisition projects from early stages to tender.
2. Carry out and review financial viability appraisals and manage scheme budgets.
3. Organise project meetings, resident events and documentation.
4. Coordinate internal and external project teams, ensuring cost, quality, design and risk targets are met.
5. Lead governance, reporting and audit processes across projects.
6. Work with Construction and Commercial teams on procurement and tendering.
7. Build strong relationships with residents, community groups and stakeholders.
8. Support community engagement activities and monitor social value outcomes.
9. Act as an ambassador for Southern Housing and uphold our values.
The role could be based in our offices at Farringdon or Hastings and offers a hybrid working arrangements. The successful candidates will be expected to participate residents and stakeholder meeting (with some evenings or weekends) and conduct site visits when required.
What you’ll need
10. Experience in social housing property development and an understanding of the development process and project management of schemes from inception to handover to the Construction team
11. Experience of carrying out complex financial viability modelling and managing budgets across a programme of schemes
12. Experience of working with internal and external teams to support regeneration projects, design and planning, and construction tender process
13. Good understanding of the role of local communities and wider stakeholders in regeneration
