Forklift Truck Operative West Edinburgh Grant Westfield, the company behind the UK’s best-selling brand of waterproof wall panels, Multipanel and Naturepanel, is looking for FLT Operators to join their team in the heart of Edinburgh, to undertake a variety of loading and unloading tasks in support of the overall production and dispatch operation, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations. Team: Operations Team Line Manager: Production/Dispatch Team Leader * Day Shift: 08 00 – 16 30. There are multiple FLT Operative roles available. We are also able to provide inhouse training on FLT if your licence has expired or you dont have a licence. Key responsibilities: To undertake a variety of tasks in support of the overall production and dispatch operation, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety regulations. * Operating a FLT to move stock around. * Loading and unloading vehicles, Storage racking and process equipment. * Picking and packing finished goods and raw materials. * Carrying out product quality inspections. * Checking stock for damaged or missing items. * Maintaining an accurate record of stock and carrying out stock counts, as required. * Finishing products to a consistently high standard. * Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality tests. * Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff. * Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse to ensure operational efficiency. The successful candidate’s profile: Skills and experience: Essential * Prior experience in a manufacturing environment. * Fit for manual handling. Desirable: * A Counterbalance fork lift truck licence and/or licence to drive assisted lift equipment. Or previous forklift experience.
