GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a school in Derby. This is a rewarding opportunity to support teachers, assist pupils in their learning, and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment. Role Overview: As a KS1 TA, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning and development. You will provide one-to-one or small group support, encourage positive behaviour, and help pupils build confidence and independence. As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will: Support teachers in delivering lessons across the KS1 curriculum. Provide targeted assistance to pupils, including those with additional needs. Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement with learning. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Assist with classroom organisation and behaviour management. Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare. Requirements for KS1 Teaching Assistant: Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting. A genuine passion for supporting pupils’ learning and development. Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
