Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Animal Management Lecturer to join our dedicated team. This role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of further education courses, working in both classroom and practical animal‑care settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment sessions.
* Supervise students in classroom and practical animal‑care environments, promoting independence and safe working.
* Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback and implement strategies to support achievement.
* Contribute to curriculum development, including course materials and programme improvement.
* Participate in recruitment activities, open events and community engagement to promote the provision.
* Support pastoral needs of learners, ensuring a positive, inclusive and student‑centred environment.
* Maintain accurate records, including assessment tracking and individual learning plans.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement of programmes.
Essential Criteria
* Significant industry experience in animal management (minimum 5 years).
* Relevant qualification in animal management (Level 3 or above) and subject expertise.
* Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* Experience delivering or supporting teaching and learning in an education or training environment.
* Strong communication, organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high standards for learners.
