Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) Technical Trainer
Salary: Up to £45k dependant upon experience, with company bonus, car and benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday
Based at FMG Repair Services Training Centre, Goole (with travel to other sites as required, must hold a Full UK Driving Licence)
Responsibilities
Join one of the UK’s largest and fastest-growing repair groups in this exciting, first-of-its-kind opportunity. We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking VDA Technical Trainer to help shape the future of industry training. You will be part of our industry-leading Training Centre, delivering expert knowledge to colleagues across the group and to the wider market.
This role is central to our Training Strategy, reducing reliance on external providers, supporting accreditation, introducing new technologies, and identifying opportunities to tackle skills shortages across the sector. You will be delivering high-quality training in Vehicle Damage Assessment, with opportunities to expand into Paint, Panel, and MET disciplines. Training will range from one-to-one coaching to group workshops, giving you the chance to use your creativity and professional licence in how you design and deliver sessions.
Working closely with the Technical Training Manager and the wider team, you will help to shape, develop and refine course materials to ensure they remain engaging, innovative and relevant. This is a unique chance to play a leading role in the development of one of the industry’s most exciting training programmes, which is the first of its kind.

Experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor with Paint background is preferred, but we will look at applicants with a strong Vehicle Damage Background or a strong Technical Training background. A passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others is essential, as are strong communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire learners.
