Aldbanks is a supported living service that provides accommodation and support to people who may have a combination of Mental Health issues and Autism. Clients are encouraged to be as independent as possible, although this can sometimes be challenging.
Passionate about helping people, you will enjoy the scope of supporting individuals to develop skills for independent living. With a focus on key working, you’ll need to work flexibly to manage your own small caseload and assist with the day-to-day running of the service.
At Turning Point, we support people across the UK with mental health issues. As a Recovery Worker, you’ll make a real difference by working closely with individuals to help them reach their potential. You will be part of a supportive regional team, with opportunities for growth in the future.
Role Responsibilities
Enhancing person-centred care, you’ll deliver a range of recovery-focused interventions through key working sessions and group activities. Your support can genuinely change lives, helping individuals acquire new skills and promoting long-term recovery. As a Recovery Worker, you’ll work with clients on their recovery journey, developing tailored support and risk management plans, and ensuring effective discharge planning. Ultimately, you’ll play a vital role in helping people gain skills and coping strategies, encouraging positive change and independence.
Shift Patterns:
This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is essential. You will work various shifts from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:00/3:00 pm and from 2:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00 pm.

The Ideal Candidate
Preferably with experience in the mental health sector, it’s essential to have a good understanding of the recovery model, along with a solution-focused attitude and a person-centred approach.
You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, capable of managing a fast-paced environment, and adaptable to challenging situations. You’ll enjoy engaging with people with diverse needs and complexities, genuinely interested in helping others, and possess empathy, understanding, and patience.
