Overview
HGV 2, CLASS 2 DRIVERS WELCOME. FULL ROLES AVAILABLE WITH IMMEDIATE STARTS. Staffline is recruiting full-time HGV Class 2 drivers for a client based in Grange Park, Saxon Avenue, Northampton, NN4 5EL GB.
Pay: PAYE rates up to £15.73 per hour. Days shift rate: £15.73 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Complete deliveries and collections (mostly roll cages, with some pallets) at customer premises for various clients, including Waitrose, Primark, H&M, Cotswold Outdoors, andGX0 customer locations.
* Ensure the POD process is adhered to using the ePOD application on a handheld terminal (HHT): scan deliveries/collections, take quality photos, and obtain signatures where required.
* Return collected stock from client locations to the home depot and accurately complete daily paperwork to record all stock.
* Complete manifests and related paperwork in full.
* Perform daily walk-round vehicle safety checks in line with legal and GXO requirements.
* Report vehicle defects promptly to the transport team.
* Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle.
* Carry out duties as instructed by the team leader/supervisor.
* Be vigilant and highlight health and safety or security concerns on site, on the road, or at customer premises.
* Wear and maintain the provided uniform and present a smart, tidy appearance.
* Undertake all other tasks as reasonably requested by management.
* Adhere to GXO operational and health & safety procedures and policies at all times.
* Demonstrate working knowledge of the Working Time Directive, EU road transport legislation, tachograph regulations, and related practices.
Qualifications
* Class 2 (C) licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
* Digi card and Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
* Minimum 2 years held licence with at least 6 months driving experience.
* Interviews will be held immediately.
