Overview
Salary: £34,274 - £40,640 (assuming good attendance and up to 4 sleep-ins per month). This role is in our Children’s Homes, supporting young people with social, emotional and mental health needs to help them build a positive future.
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be part of a team that makes a difference in day-to-day life for the young people. You’ll help them with daily routines, learning, and activities, while adapting to each young person’s needs, personality, and potential.
Working here involves evenings and weekends for fun activities, school routines, and creating lasting memories for the young people we serve.
Responsibilities
* T ake care of our young people day to day, ensuring things run smoothly and creating lasting memories.
* Help with getting up and ready for school, supporting with homework, completing paperwork, and planning activities.
* Engage in activities during evenings and weekends (examples: video games, football, film days, go-karting).
* Supportive, safeguarding, and enabling positive changes in each young person’s life.

* Salary: Base salary of £29,034 - £35,400
* Bonuses: Up to 4 sleep-ins per month paid at £80 per sleep, plus Attendance Allowance (£1,400) subject to good attendance

Requirements (What we’re looking for)
* A ‘can do’ attitude and team player approach
* Honesty and empathy for our young people and colleagues
* Resilience to handle challenging situations
* A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
* If you don’t have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we’ll pay to support you through study
You’ll start life as a Residential Support Worker by joining our Care Academy – 4 weeks of off-the-job training with experienced WG professionals.
