Healthcare Assistant - Hampshire – Marie Curie UK
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our community team in Hampshire and provide holistic, person-centred end-of-life care and support in patients\' homes.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and assist with maintenance of patients\' skin integrity and personal hygiene.
* Observe and support nutritional needs; attend to comfort requirements to facilitate rest and sleep.
* Provide mobility support and maintain a clean and orderly care environment.
* Practice empathetic communication with the patient and those important to them in a supportive, professional manner.
* Deliver high quality personal care and support to enhance wellbeing.
Contract and Work Schedule
* Contract: Permanent, full-time or reduced hours; multiple openings
* Work Schedule: Day shifts; Six hours; Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays
* Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM
* Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, Band 2 (Aligned with AFC) £24,465 per annum, plus enhancements
* Based: Community Based – Hampshire
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
* At least six months of recent experience providing care in a health or social care environment, including end-of-life care.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred, not required).
* Person-centred and compassionate approach to caring for the person and those important to them.
* Ability to develop and evaluate care management plans to meet complex needs.
* Emotional resilience and the ability to work independently.
* A valid driving licence and access to a car for travel to patient homes.
