We are a friendly, patient-focused GP practice dedicated to delivering high quality primary care services to our local community. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team and support us in providing excellent patient care.
Role Summary:
As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for carrying out venepuncture safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate sample collection and maintaining a professional and caring approach with patients of all ages. You will work closely with our clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform venepuncture on patients in accordance with practice protocols.
* Accurately label and record blood samples for laboratory testing.
* Ensure patient comfort and reassurance during procedures.
* Maintain infection control and health & safety standards.
* Record data on the practice clinical system as required.
* Assist with other clinical support duties where appropriate.
About You:
* Previous phlebotomy experience essential (experience in a GP or NHS setting desirable).
* Phlebotomy training/certification required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient-centred approach.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
