We are working with a specialist SEMH secondary school in Bromley, part of a highly regarded multi-academy trust, seeking a committed and confident Maths Teaching Assistant to support students with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs.

About the Role:

Support students aged 5-19 with their engagement and understanding in Maths
*
Provide 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual needs and EHCPs
*
Help manage behaviour positively and contribute to a calm, structured environment
*
Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to raise achievement and confidence
*
Assist with classroom prep, tracking progress, and adapting content to support learning
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
A solid understanding of Maths at KS3/KS4 level (GCSE or A-Level)
*
Experience working with SEMH or SEN pupils is highly desirable
*
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
*
Confidence in de-escalating behaviour and promoting emotional regulation
*
A team player attitude with a strong commitment to pupil well-being
*
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
