Part-time Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is searching for a Part-time Teaching Assistant to support a student on a one-to-one basis.
The child needs a positive role model who will be able to keep him focused on his work and able to implement positive behaviour management strategies. You will be responsible for supporting this student personally, socially and academically.
This role will run up until the October half-term initially, and will be extended longer-term for the right candidate.
In order to be considered for this role, you will need:
1. Experience of supporting and working with individuals with additional needs
2. The ability to implement behavioural management strategies
3. To be firm, consistent and fair
4. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships
The essentials:
5. Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure (cost of DBS is refunded after working 20 days)
6. A full, 10-year career history and be able to provide a minimum of 2 references
7. Legal right to work in the UK
8. A minimum of 2 professional references including one from your most recent employer
