The school operates 51 weeks per year, and this is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours per week throughout the year. Annual leave entitlement is 20 days, in addition to 8 bank holidays. Leave can be taken during both term and non-term periods, in accordance with our annual leave policy.```Duties```- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the Pre-Prep Department (Age 3-4 years)- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's development- Supervise and engage with children during learning, playtime and mealtime- Monitor children's behaviour and intervene when necessary to ensure their well-being- Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the classroom area- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise```Qualifications```- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting- A relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others to create a positive learning environment- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children- First Aid certification is desirable but not essential; this will be providedPlease note that this job description is not exhaustive and may be subject to change as per the needs of the school.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From £12.25 per hourBenefits:* Company events* Company pension* Employee discountWork Location: In person
