Our local authority client based in Berkshire are urgently seeking an experienced Housing Project Manager.
*£500 a day Umbrella
*Hybrid working - 2 days a week in the office
Main purpose of Job:
This role will be accountable for managing projects which contribute to the delivery of SBC’s strategic aims and derive from the Transformation Programme.
As an exemplar and experienced project manager familiar with working in a complex project environment, this role is key in ensuring a robust project infrastructure is in place underpinned by governance and assurance processes. Influencing and working with senior stakeholders to ensure agreed project outputs are delivered to enable benefits to be realised.
This role will specifically work with the Housing Directorate with the current priority project being to procure and implement a Choice Based Lettings solution.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Essential to be qualified in Project Management (such as APMP or Prince2 or P3O or MSP) or be able to evidence more than 3 years’ experience in complex organisation(s).
* Experience of working collaboratively with Senior Management, politicians, and other key stakeholders, evidencing credibility and impact as a leader.
* Demonstrable track record of delivery and running of successful projects.
* Strong knowledge of the issues facing local government and those relevant to service / functional responsibilities, together with the legal, financial, and political context of public sector management and the statutory responsibilities of this post.
* Experience in delivering a Choice Based Lettings solution for a public sector partner – understanding of the procurement and implementation processes required for such a solution, and knowledge of the Housing processes which will support its adoption.
* Ability to deploy relevant business and commercial knowledge and techniques including project and change management techniques, research methodologies, KPIs, standards.
* Wide understanding of project delivery approaches and the impacts they can have on successful service and project delivery.
