Clifton Primary School is seeking an inspirational, strategic and highly skilled leader to join our senior leadership team as Deputy Headteacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader who is ready to play a key role in shaping the future of our school. You will work alongside the Headteacher and Governing Body to drive school improvement, champion high standards, and ensure that every pupil achieves their full potential.
About the Role
As Deputy Headteacher, you will be central to the leadership and daily life of the school. Your responsibilities will include:
•Providing strategic leadership to support the school’s vision and improvement priorities
•Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring a strong culture of safeguarding and care
•Leading assessment and the effective use of data to improve outcomes for all pupils
•Driving high-quality provision for personal development, wellbeing and behaviour
•Supporting and developing staff through coaching, performance management and professional development
This is a pivotal role with significant scope to influence whole-school systems, culture and outcomes.
About You
We are looking for a leader who:
•Has successful experience of senior leadership in a primary school
•Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a deep understanding of teaching and learning
•Has a strong track record of leading school improvement and raising standards
•Demonstrates expertise in assessment, curriculum and data-informed practice
•Has a clear understanding of safeguarding, inclusion and behaviour systems
•Can inspire, motivate and develop others, building strong relationships across the school community
•Is committed to equity, high expectations and achieving the very best for all pupils
You will be a visible, values-driven leader who leads with integrity, clarity and purpose.
