Project Manager – Fibre Network Build (UK)

Circet UK is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of fibre optic network build projects across the UK. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
You’ll be the driving force behind project planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination – helping us deliver best-in-class connectivity infrastructure at scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Lead the full lifecycle of fibre network rollout projects – from planning and mobilisation to delivery and handover
2. Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and resources
3. Oversee field operations, spending approximately 50% of your time on-site with delivery teams
4. Manage internal resources, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met
5. Track project progress, resolve issues proactively, and maintain accurate RAID logs
6. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Streetworks regulations, and company standards
7. Coordinate procurement activities and manage project-related commercial responsibilities
8. Monitor and control project budgets and forecasts – managing up to £10 million annual revenue
9. Act as primary liaison with clients, local authorities, and internal departments (design, operations, commercial)
10. Lead project meetings, provide regular updates, and manage stakeholder expectations
11. Carry out site inspections, ensure quality control, and conduct regular safety audits
12. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams
What You’ll Need
13. 3–5+ years of experience delivering complex infrastructure or fibre network build projects
14. Background in telecoms, fibre, or civil engineering environments in the UK is essential
15. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying sizes and complexity
16. Strong working knowledge of FTTx delivery, civil engineering processes, and construction best practices
17. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
18. Proficient in using project management tools (, MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira)
19. A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings
Essential Qualifications & Certifications
20. PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, or AgilePM (preferred)
21. Degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, IT, Construction Management) (preferred)
22. SMSTS or SSSTS
23. NRSWA Supervisor
24. Asbestos Awareness
25. Full UK Driving Licence
