With a proud family history spanning 165 years, Hendy is excited to be entering a new era of growth – and we'd love you to be part of it. As we continue to invest in our people and create a workplace where everyone feels valued, we're looking for a passionate Reward Advisor who can build lasting relationships with stakeholders, providing meaningful insights and helping shape decisions that keep us competitive and equitable. You'll thrive working at pace and be comfortable adapting to a dynamic changing environment.
If you believe in collaborative working, continuous improvement, and creating inclusive workplaces, you'll feel right at home at Hendy.
The Role
As our Reward Advisor you'll play a key part in making sure every colleague feels valued and rewarded for the work they do. You will support the design, delivery and governance of the Group’s reward and recognition initiatives to ensure they remain fair, compliant, competitive and are engaging for all colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Reward Operations and Governance – prepare and administer our annual rewards cycle, including maintaining accurate records, policy updates, creating manager guidance and supporting payroll with reward related inputs.
* Benchmarking and Analysis – conduct salary and benefits benchmarking to develop insights. Turn those insights into clear dashboards that highlight trends and risks, helping us make informed decisions.
* Advisory and Stakeholder Support – collaborate and offer guidance on pay decisions, promotions, and reward alignment. Ensure reward practices stay aligned and fair.
* Policy, Compliance and Risk – maintain and update relevant policies, and ensure we’re always compliant with legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Benefits and Recognition – support the administration of benefits and track how our recognition programmes are being used. Use this data to suggest improvements that make a real difference to our people.
* Continuous Improvement – look for ways to make our processes and data even better, identifying improvements in reward cycles and system integrations.
About You
* Experience in reward or compensation (or HR Analytics).
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling), data integrity and analytical problem solving.
* Confidence working with HR systems and payroll integrations, and comfortable handling large data sets.
* A good understanding of legal and ethical pay practices (equal pay, pay transparency, benefits tax basics).
* Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to coach managers and influence stakeholders.
It's great if you also have experience in any of these areas, but they're not essential:
* Exposure to job evaluation frameworks and salary survey participation.
* Benefits administration/renewals experience and vendor coordination.
* Familiarity with gender pay gap reporting.
The Rewards
As well as a competitive salary, we offer a structured career with the opportunity for personal development and training within our rewarding environment. In addition, you can expect the following benefits:
* Bespoke induction and learning programme and comprehensive ongoing training throughout your career.
* Enhanced family leave benefit.
* Life Insurance.
* Bupa Healthcare Cash Plan for you and your family.
* Opportunity to join the company pension scheme.
* 23 days holiday (plus bank holidays), increasing with length of service.
* Discounts on new vehicle, used vehicle, service and parts purchases for you and your family.
* Various perks and discounts with high street and online retailers and services.
If you think you possess the necessary experience, skills and qualifications and would like to be part of Hendy's continuing success, select Apply Now and submit your CV. We look forward to hearing from you.
