MERJE is seeking a talented Legal/Senior Legal Counsel for a leading Investment Bank in London.
As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing high-level legal advice and support across various business units.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert legal advice on complex financial transactions and regulatory matters
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies
* Collaborate with business teams to develop and implement legal strategies
* Manage and mitigate legal risks across the organisation
Required knowledge
* Qualified solicitor ideally 2-6 years PQE
* In-depth knowledge of investment banking and securities regulations - specifically relating to equities products
* Relevant in-house legal experience gained within a similar sales & trading type environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Ability to develop relationships at all levels across the business
