Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer – on-site role focused on advanced maritime lighting systems for submarines. This position is part of a high‑profile project delivering cutting‑edge solutions for naval platforms.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and refine mechanical designs for submarine lighting systems.
* Produce accurate technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers and systems integrators.
* Support prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components.
* Ensure designs meet stringent naval and safety standards.
* Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to optimise component production.
Qualifications
Required Skills
* 5–10 years’ experience in mechanical design.
* Proven experience designing complex mechanical systems, ideally for maritime applications.
* Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or equivalent).
* Experience creating production‑ready technical drawings and documentation.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively on high‑profile projects.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience working on naval or submarine platforms.
* Exposure to lighting systems, electro‑mechanical integration, or defence projects.
* Experience working on‑site within a project delivery team.
