One of the UK's most ambitious and iconic soaps, EastEnders, is looking for a Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Production Managers on EastEnders are vital to the smooth running, safety and success of the show. Working across blocks, they are responsible for scheduling, budget management, compliance and people management, and are the control centre for all that we do.

The Production Manager role on EastEnders is a natural progression from 1st AD. We look for people who have worked in soap as a 1st AD or PM, and understand the dynamics of a multi-team, multi-unit and multi-camera drama set up. You will expertly manage and schedule cast and crew, and work closely with directors and producers to support creative ambition, whilst protecting the budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Oversee preparation, crewing, and shooting for assigned blocks
* Ensure projects meet financial and timeline targets without compromising creative quality through effective planning and monitoring
* Maintain a safe working environment and advise on relevant legislation and policies impacting production
* Act as a point of contact for crew and cast queries, escalating concerns, and collaborating with Directors and Producers to align creative vision with operational constraints
* Source suppliers, negotiate contracts for specialised services, and champion efficiency, diversity, and inclusion within production
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Production Manager or 1st Assistant Director on a continuing drama, with strong knowledge of multi-team, multi-unit, and multi-camera setups
* Skilled in managing schedules and budgets using tools like Excel and Movie Magic, with a track record of delivering complex projects successfully
* Demonstrable understanding of end-to-end multi-platform production processes and experience in monitoring health and safety compliance
* Experienced in managing crews, resolving issues through difficult conversations, and providing constructive feedback to maintain performance standards and a positive, inclusive culture
* Exceptional ability to handle conflicting demands under tight deadlines, combined with a strong passion for drama, especially EastEnders
Compensation
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £60,000 - £64,000 (inclusive of London weighting) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
